LEMON BUTTERMILK GLAZE
¾ cup powdered sugar
¼ cup Sweetie Magic®
2 tablespoons buttermilk
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
How To Prepare
Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat until temperature reaches 355°F. (*You should start with enough oil to fill ½-inch inside the pot.)
In a medium size mixing bowl, whisk the flour, Sweetie Magic®, baking powder and salt together, then set aside. In a separate small bowl, mix the buttermilk and melted butter together. Add the buttermilk mixture to the dry mix and blend together with a fork until it forms a dough. (Be careful not to over mix!)
Scoop 1 teaspoon and gently roll to form balls. When oil has reached 355°F, gently drop about half of the donut holes in and fry until golden brown, then flip to brown the other side. Carefully remove donut holes with a spider strainer, or large slotted spoon, and drain on paper towel lined baking sheet. Repeat with the second half, being sure to maintain a steady oil temperature.
Sprinkle with Sweetie Magic® while hot or dip into Lemon Buttermilk Glaze before serving.
LEMON BUTTERMILK GLAZE: Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl. Dip or drizzle over donut holes or other desserts.
